Tarot Made Simple: Astrology Edition
Overview
Ever wonder what astrology has to do with tarot? More than you might think.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Join Tarot Girl Era founders Phim Her and Daniela Fant as they demystify the connection between the two — breaking down how the zodiac signs and astrological elements (earth, water, air, and fire) are woven throughout the tarot deck, from the Major Arcana all the way through the Minor Arcana.
You'll leave with a clearer, more intuitive understanding of how to use astrology as a built-in layer of symbolism and meaning in your readings — no deep astrological or tarot background required.
You'll learn:
Which Major Arcana cards are paired with each zodiac sign
How the four astrological elements show up across both the Major and Minor Arcanas
How to use this knowledge as a practical shorthand in your everyday tarot practice

About Your Instructors:
Phim Her (she/her) is the founder of Tarot Girl Era, a community-centered healing practice based out of the DMV. Her tarot readings, sound baths, and reiki sessions have been featured by The Washingtonian, Meta, Capital One, and Friends to Lovers Bookstore.
Ariana R-G (she/they) is a queer Latine mixed-media artist. Their collage style blends magazine, fabric, paint, beadwork, and hand embroidery, inspired by the colors, patterns, and needlework of their Puerto Rican and Mexican backgrounds. Ariana teaches workshops and has exhibited artwork across the DMV.

Advanced Tarot Class - Intuitive Tarot Reading @ Shop Made (Union Market)
Overview: A deeper dive into the magic that lies within the cards & pro-tips on how to go beyond the Little White Book.
Tarot Girl Era co-founder Phim Her will lead guests through a 1.5-hour advanced course on interpreting tarot cards using intuitive pulls (without needing to memorize tarot spreads and positions). This course will also lightly cover the tarot symbolism, numerology and color theory found in the traditional Rider-Waite tarot deck.
We will reserve time at the end (~30 min) for attendees to trade readings and practice what they have learned. Please bring a deck if you are interested in participating.
Not sure whether you should take this Advanced Tarot course or a Tarot 101 course?
If you have never read cards at all, we encourage you to attend our Tarot Girl Era Tarot 101 courses on the Minor Arcana and Major Arcana first. A good test is if you:
Have a working idea of the difference between the Minor Arcana suits
Feel comfortable pulling and interpreting at least a 3-card spread

For our very first meetup, we’re keeping it low-key and beginner-friendly: We’ll walk through Tarot 101 for anyone tarot-curious (no experience needed, just good vibes). Phim will also do a 1-card pull for the first 10 folks who hop on Zoom early—so set your reminders. 🧿
🌙 Optional after-hours (9:30–10pm ET): Stay on for breakout rooms to swap tarot readings, practice together or just hang out in the energy.

Halloween Party | Spell Jar & Florida Water Workshop
🧿 Join us for a witchy and enchanting workshop in Dupont Circle, learning how to create spell jars and Florida Water from scratch. This program will be co-hosted by Phim Her of Truth & Tarot and Daniela Fant of the Tiny Broom Closet. Ticket sales include light refreshments, 2 spell jars and 1 mason jar of handcrafted Florida Water.

Join us for an evening of introspective healing and manifestation work on Zoom. Reiki, meditation and reflections on shadow and light work.
Candle Magic + Spell Jar Workshop
Join us for our final summer magic workshop. What to expect:
Receive TWO witchy lessons on candle magic and spell jar charms, including a glossary of spell ingredients (e.g., use cinnamon for abundance and good luck).
Ticket includes supplies for the workshop (e.g., two chime candles, one spell jar, ingredients for spells and charms) as well as tea from Teaism and light refreshments.
Connect with other like-minded spirits who are on their healing and manifestation journey.
This event will be hosted in a cozy private residence in Crystal City. The address will be sent upon ticket purchase.
