You’ve forgotten how to honor and wear your crown. Your anger has clouded your judgment of a situation, or it’s made you so heated that you have forgotten how to act with your usual cool demeanor. Take a step back. Don’t let your emotions get the best of you. Nothing can truly challenge your unique role as the leader (Empress) in any room or situation. Water yourself even when you are feeling scorched earth energy; if anything, you must water yourself more because you want to burn the world down. I speak of fire metaphors, because the Empress is related to the Emperor card (the Emperor is often associated with Aries aka fire sign energy).

My dear, you are both on the defense and the offense this month. What happened that made you feel so weary and on-alert? This not becoming of you–it is not how you usually like to be. The Page of Swords in this particular deck (the Modern Witch Tarot Deck) looks very exhausted. Aries is usually full of high energy. I don’t like this for you. I’d recommend resting more than fighting, even if you must ignore your natural impulse to show up with your sword in hand. Sleep on it. Come back with a stronger war plan before you simply run into battle. The page also tells me you are perhaps thinking more immaturely than needed. Call upon your higher self (aka your wiser self). Ask for guidance from mentors. Do not lean on your base needs, wants and desires. Now is not the time to be childish or childlike. While this reading may sound stern, it is a forewarning because the universe believes you can rise to the occasion and go beyond where you’ve been. That demands growth and maturity. I believe in you. Queen of Pentacles, Reverse
Well, my friend. Are you sitting in a posture of rest? If so, good! Congratulations, you’ve unlocked the code. But… if you are currently sitting in denial about something… or, if adopting a scarcity mindset has invaded your thoughts and kept you metaphorically paralyzed... this card’s reverse position tells me that something is feeling stuck in your life. I want to remind you that you are in power (because you are showing up as a queen), and that you can thus get un-stuck.
What will most likely help is not being so stubborn or rules-based. Taurus is an earth sign (as is the Queen of Pentacles); usually earth signs cling to rules, systems and processes to feel safe and secure. Whatever predicament you have found yourself in is most likely too slippery and messy to be easily cleaned up and reformed. You are going to have to get your hands wet, and you are most likely going to have to be more flexible than usual. Let go of your rigidity. There are new lessons to be learned.

Sweet love, it looks like death has come to help you close old chapters, wounds and perhaps even relationships. Instead of looking at this as an ominous curse, I want to encourage you to embrace this new change. Death has come to help you finally greet who and what has been waiting in the wings for you. It will most likely bring in more balance for you on an internal and external level, so don’t fight the change, even if it doesn’t make sense for you at the moment. The Empress is very fiery, while Cancer signs represent water sign energy. Most tarot readers would interpret this to mean that you may be in a situation where you are either feeling out of your element or acting unnaturally. You may be feeling more emotionally angry or impassioned than is typical of you. If anything, you may be feeling the same level of passion as you do on the inside, but this time, you are showcasing it more brightly and boldly than usual (like a fire sign would). Two questions to ask yourself: 1) Is this too much? If so, you may need to switch strategies. 2) Is this serving you? If so, lean into it, even if it feels scary and different. You deserve to share your fire with the world, and not just your softness.

That’s the odd part: Aquarius is the Water Bearer, humanity’s biggest champion. Yet here, in this carad, you look finished with the crowd.
My advice may sound esoteric, but you’ll understand, because you’re an Aquarius at heart: leave the human-ing to the mere mortals.
